Did you notice a lot of people thinking they had the best hand, with hands like; KQ98 and worse?

I noticed this while playing the freerolls too.

Like you had mentioned, I usually won't play unless I can get 9 or less in this game.
Unless the players are checking, then I will play up to a J or Q high with a 4 card Badugi.
Yes, I noticed this a lot....I really don't understand why people will stand pat on the first draw with a Q or K high Badugi hand and keep calling or betting/raising....there's so many hands that can beat it, especially with 2-3 more draws to come...if there's more than 1 player in the hand, I'll throw the made Badugi hand away (the Q or K, or even a J) and try to get something better. It's hard to get a badugi hand, but if you're holding 3 other really good cards (less than 7 high), most of the time that 3 card hand will take it down in the end.

I'm going to love Sunday's tourney...it's limit hold'em

Thanks Beaston for the great explanation and advice! I love this game and plan on playing alot more.!

Congrats on the placement for only your second game, damn your good! lol

I will be looking for your user name next time i play, it would be cool if we all could get in on a game at the same time, Fun! lol

This is a fun game once you understand the purpose and rules, its easy and thrilling when you make the decision to "draw" hoping for a better hand, and getting it! Cool! lolll

That is fun, as you call it catwoman, to get the cards you need in Badugi.

But, most of the time I find myself getting a less desirable hand.
Like getting a pair, which is good if it's a low pair.
Or I will spend my three draws getting same suits.

I know that many of the players who throw-in a pot bet after the last draw are trying to buy the pot 50% of the time,
but I don't like getting caught the other 50% when they actually have something in the end.
So most of the time I will fold.

Like beaston mentioned, you have to think a bit more and watch how other players are playing and be patient in Badugi.
