Default AAAkk

My worst bad beat...I had pocket AA, on the button with several limpers, I raised to double the entire pot, got one caller. The flop came AKK. Felt pretty confident and just put in a small raise after the other player checked. Turn card was a four. the other player went all in (about half my stack) and I called. He had pocket fours and drew a four on the river for 4444. I sat out about 5 hands to recoup my thoughts.

ouch.

How small was the bet on the flop ?

I would have bet at least half the pot, if not equal to it.

okay try this....i was in a live tournament and chip leader....my hole cards are k-10 suited and i call well the other person checks....flop is 9-q-j...thats a monster flop so i bet the pot and he raises so i go allin and he calls quickly and he flips pocket aces....pretty much thats a 95% to 5% the turn card is a JACK and the river card is a JACK giving him a full house to win the hand and cripple me...

Yep, some thing like that happened to me.

Had A-J , the flop was Q-K-10 rainbow. Had best possible straight on the flop. Bet it guy next to me raised, I rereaised. Turn comes J.

Another round of betting raising and reraising. River comes , another J. To make a long story short, the guy had pocket JJ. He was fishing for that A to make a straight. Oh, I guess I should mention that this was a 5-10 limit game so that's why he was able to fish like that. I think I literally shed tears for that one, lol!

Don't ya just love it when you get 4 aces and no1 will even call $200 bet. had pocket rockets last nite and 1 on flop and 1 on river .. only raked a little pot. but at least I raked.

Seems to me, your rakes tend to be larger if your holding 4 of a kind when they are low cards....triple my stack the other night with 4 7s, but like you, couldn't even get a small bet going on my 4 queens last night in a tourny.
