Funnily enough... in the regonal finals of a league I play in the other day, I was short-stacked on the BB so I went all-in without looking at my cards and got one caller. He showed first, ace five off suit. I flip over one of my cards... to see a King. Next one - another King. At this point I'm feeling good. Flop's no use to either of us, nor the turn. Guess what comes down on the river
To be fair, I was only short-stacked because of a poor play in the previous hand. I didn't quite realise how few chips I had and made a large bet with me and one other guy in the pot at the turn, both having checked the flop. I had ace high, and he raised me all-in so I folded. Correct move as it turns out as he had a full house, but I shouldn't really have bet in the first place. Whoops.
