One thing I'd like to add to this is something about River play that I see happen to a lot of players.

Let's say you have K-Qs on the button and you catch a pair of K's on the flop. Decent hand, but not great. It checks to you, so of course you bet the pot. All the other players except one folds. The turn comes out, a brick, he checks to you, you bet, and he calls again. Now the river is a scare card. Maybe it pairs the board, or puts a straight possiblilty or 3 flush on the board. But he checks again. Whatever you do here, don't bet. No possible good can come out of it. If he was drawing and missed, you're probably not gonna get a call. If he was drawing and hit you're probably gonna pay dearly for it. If he is a decent player, he might also use that scare card to bluff you off the pot. In general, when you have a marginal holding in position and it gets checked to you on the river, the best option is usually to check and go to a showdown. That is of course, unless you improve on the river.

God cant believe it took me so long to read this.

Its more or less how I play recently but I haven't always played this way.

most important thing in this post is playing passively preflop.
I used to play tight aggressive preflop as I presumed this was the correct strategy, it took me a very long time to realize this weren't true for low limit ring games as the aggressive play that would normally get you blinds just meant I was getting called down and flopping marginal hands against loose oppoenents.

I do think low limit tables have tightened up since this was written due to the ban on yankee dooddles so I play more tight passive rather than this very loose passive strategy.

I wouldn't go as far as playing Kxsuited , even Ax suited i would only play in late position with plenty of limpers and passive blinds.

Raising in Late position with small pocket pairs was something i used to do which I think isn't optimal play at these limit anymore.

One other thing I do now which may be considered extreme is I try to limp 99 TT and JJ unless opening from late position.

On most flops these will be marginal hands which i would rather not be betting against a loose opponent.

I'm wanting to be playing hands that can turn into a big hand for implied odds rather than be playing middle pairs blindly against a loose opponent I cannot put on a hand or bluff.
