Thats why I say take you time

you just don't find many people today willing to spend the next 5 to 9 hours strait fixing their computer, mainly cause theirs other things happining in are lifes that need attention, thats why most computers just go to repair shops, but we can do it at you time, not a problem..

I would like to say, ALL I NEED YOU TO DO NEXT IS, GIVE ME THAT error message including the error code..

Thanks thats my Daughter and I, well good luck to ya if your in the OFC buyin at Cake today, I like that skin, Hoping if I posted that, the dealer would show me some love! LOL..

So were you able to get the service pack downloaded?

I wasn't going to say nothing about the protection you are using, but McAfee doesnt catch on to much. I would like to think that most things MRST found were mainly cookies though, not a issue. If you would enjoy seeing what really up with your computer, download http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and run the free version and deliet what is said, you can check you Malwarebytes scan files at http://www.hijackthis.de/ if choose for giggles, or/and you can scan Solo Files off your computer that you wonder about their as well or here http://onlinescan.avast.com/

I don't recomend anyone that surf much or go's in dark area's of the web, or downloads much music, movies, & programs from share sites, to count on McAfee, but if your ok with it, then it ok!, Why do I say this? cause it really what we do and where we go, that will show us if we need stronger or better protection, if it working don't change it MOTTO. .

If you are interested in checking out some other virius/spyware programs I would suggest any of these free programs But what ever you use malwarebytes is a great program to use as a backup and has saved my butt countless times with issues that my "Paid Protection" wasn't able to catch onto, But I only use it as a back~up (secondary).

All picture are clickable links with no affilate links, hope they are OK, if not Im shure staff here will help me out and deliet them for me.

Hi 19,

NO i still can not download or install the damn sp2! It is saying the same thing, there is no error code though because i don't even get that far, when windows does it update, it always sends me the sp2 to install, so i let windows do its thing, and send my computer the package, but after it starts to initialize to my computer, i get the same message,

installation failed! can not read or write to data base.

Thats it, that is all i get? i don't understand why i am not getting an error code like you asked for?? I give up!!!!

Thanks for all your help!

And the malware program you sent me to is fantastic! It found 93 viruses, and a lot of them were trojans and they are all quaranteened, should i delete them??

Thanks
pat

Well if the are quaranteened, its ok, but personaly I deliet everything thats quaranteened, if you really did find trojans, it not take care of all of them, one run never does.

Run http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and see what that pulls up, and when done?

deliet everything it shows, the next night also before you go to bed, then when you wake up,you can look at the results and see if any are comming back or hard to get rid of. let me know if issue of comming back.

Thats why lots of people don't try to help other's online,
main reasons being: they want a instant fix. second if computer messes up we are to blame.
We can fix this!, just breath, and continue at slow pace to not get mad, COOL?
Only reason why I asked for the Exact message/Code was, it's a clue, it not a problem that you don't see a code, I was just wanting what it gave you, It does take time invested and paitence to get the results you are wanting, it took this long to get you to give me the message you are seeing Why it won't download, now I have something to work with

Many People get upset, this is why some just take their computers to the geek and pay all that $$$.

it takes times to fix someone elses computer when your not in front of it Their are many ways to download and get sp2 to your computer.

Seems we might need to find what is missing/needed to allow the download, wich aint impossible, as before we can fix at your pace, I will post her tomorrow after doing a bit or trouble shooting your responce.
Keep your fingers crossed, I might just luck out and get it fixed on next post.

Click on this link and scroll down to where it says the Cryptographic service error and the last thing is fixdb.bat
which will be highlighted as a blue link. You needs to click on (fixdb.bat) and run it and then try and reinstall sp2 again.

http://winhlp.com/node/125#Cannot_in...Service_Pack_2

fixdb.bat<-clickable if can't fine it threw link sent (Cryptographic service and related errors)

Please:
If any messages are giving to you as a problems, write them down a post them. This stuff aint bothering me, don't worry about my time, if I didn't have it, I wouldn't of offered it. No need to give up
Just breath and Have a good day.
