There will be sites that will ban U.S. players but I'm sure there will be some that let us play the problem will be if they make U.S. banks stop making wire transfers to netteller firepay or others like them. Some U.S. players didn't know that they was brakeing the law and now they know, this new law just makes it harder for us to brake the law . Here in Illinois playing on line is the same as having a home game which is a fine if you get caught , in the state of Washington it is a class c felony.
you will see U.S. players on line but there won't be as many of us and the guy that saw poker on T.V. and wants to give it a try will have a hard time getting in so if he has had a few beers he will probably give up ! the easy money will be gone and the sharks will haft to feed on each other.

Does any one know if PREPAID VISA cards are affected by this new law. I don't believe there is a banking institution involved in this. You have a company like NETSPEND that you purchase the card through. They are not a bank. It is your money.

Its the dumbest law I've heard of in a long time, because its a law that is based on the agenda of a few people in government. I live in a bible belt state Ga. I see this crap all the time. There are more important issues the government should be worrying about than trying to police poker that has been going on since forever. but yet again, the few control the many.

well the law passed whick stinks big time unbeleiveable u guys wont be able to take a s***t soon cos they will pass a bill on that!!!!
only use crapper between certain hours lol
its insane!! where will they stop who knows
now as far as i can see they stop u using payment methods to deposit
so as long as poker sites let u play real money games it may not be impossible
looking around the forum i can see that u are all good freinds
and proberbly trust alot of members
so for instance if say a admins is in the uk
what to stop u sending them a cheque
and them using player transfer to put money in accounts??
i mean player transfer isnt in the bill or the law that passed?? as far as i know

considering that theban only really targets the banks and not the sites why dont the sites use diffrent methods for US players. or someone in power needs to write up a clause like they did for horseracing

Yea this really ****ed me off because most American sites stayed open except the one with the majority of my roll and my favorite place to play, jetset poker. Maybe in the future it will reopen and if it does everyone should check it out.
