Total pot 96200 chips

And that's how I won.......with a measly 4-2 offsuit. lol

And, unlike last time, I still have all $27 this time. I've yet to spend any of it at the tables. ;-)

Out of curiosity, has anyone else won a tourney with an oddball/not-so-good hand that you'd normally fold at a full (or 1/2 full) table?

I'll try to.

(And just now, I used $4 of that at a table.......came away with $11.29......so I almost tripled my money......so I'm on my way to hopefully turning that into some serious dough. ;-) )

I think most of the time Oddballs win at the final table especially heads up where an Ace high is considered an all in hand.

I think its more down to luck than judgement when it gets to the later stages thats why most players cut deals at the final table

Good Going Though

Tom

Congrat RS!

Oddball wins - We had a forum freeroll at RoyalCardroom in July - which I won with 9 2 o - pairing my 2 against A10 I think

Agree with Tom though - it's mainly weird hands that clench it in the end

Thanks a bunch ya'll.

IIRC, I think you might classify that last hand where I won that Omaha H/L Pot Limit freeroll an "oddball" hand.

And I can sort of understand why oddball hands win these things........it's only 2 people going at it, compared to around 9 at a full table. If you even catch one of your cards (or catch a flush, full house, trips, or something), you're doing kinda good (or it would kinda seem like it anyway) because there's not that many cards out there. I apologize if my logic seems whacko and waaaaaaaaaay off. lol

Grannygrump.........I don't play there as much as I used to (however, that just might increase again after winning that freeroll ). But I'll hopefully see ya around there soon.
