Default A change in limit really does make a differance ???

Hey all ....

I got a bit annoyed with the 5c/10c NLHE ring games I was playing and thought I would test the waters a limit higher....

so I went up to the 10c/20c limit and what a differance I was shocked dont get me wrong the games are still somewhat loose but bets where decent ie 3-5x BB etc no crazy all ins every hand!!!

is it just a coincidence or does this seem to run true with you guys...if you havent tried going up a limit and you have the bankroll to try it...do....

see if it makes a differance...I like what Ive experianced so far anyway :P

Yeah I recently went up to $1/2 on Prima after crushing the .50/1.00 games all day. Yeah lets just say I got rocked LOL!! I'm starting to get the hang of things now but its like a totally different game.

Yeah, a change in limits can result in an entirely different game all together. It's surprising how different people play just because of a .10 or .25 difference in blinds or limits. Even if the quality of play doesnt change, the whole structure of it does.

a big change! u can go all in preflop with AA or KK in NL, in PL or FL u give less great hands a chance to catch, i prefer NL

No limit is certainly better since in many cases you can buy people out who are on a draw. Like Ray Lee said, you can raise high enough pre-flop with a high pocket pair to get someone with a 5 7 fold who would've caught two pair if they could have stayed in for a few cents to see the flop.

I've worked up from .05/.10 over a long period of time to make it up to $5/$10 (although I often drop back if I need to get confidence back, or if I'm giving my mrs a lesson) and have found that every level is different in it's general style.
I found $1/$2 the hardest level of all to play through (triple bankroll to move up with minimum of 300 X BB [big bet not big blind] so needed to turn $600 into $1200 to hit $2/$4).
Not sure what it is about 1/2 but I really was glad to get through it - I was beginning to think i'd be there forever.

(This is FL i'm talking about here BTW).

Level changes in no limit seem to make a HUGE difference! You don't seem to get the crazy bingo players when the stakes are higher. I have never played more than 1/2, not brave enough for 5/10. Maybe someday.
