Default AA and AK

I gave some info on these hands already. I prefer to hold AK over any pocket pair becuase I can hit either Aces or Kings so im not stuck to one pair...I have more outs with ak then i do with one pair...If its suited I got flush and straight draw possibilities...two pair or top pair with top kicker...either way i love this hand...just dont overplay it...especially if you dont hit

I hear what you're saying but I would rather hold down to 10 10 than AK as I find that it is quite easy to overplay AK and also you don't have a chance to hit trips with the AK combo like you do with AA down to 10 10 which can devastate another person's tourney. My take is 10 10 anytime vs AK.

Cheers,

I don't understand your reasoning. I'll take AA, KK, QQ anyday over AK. They will win more often than AK. If you don't hit, you have nothing. You're not stuck with one pair, the board pairs and you have 2 pair.

i like a k , but would rather start out with any pair.hitting trips on the flop can open up your game and make life miserable for the other guy real fast..ak is ok , you always get out after the flop ..

i hear what all of you r saying about the pairs...but how hard is it to get away from a pair of aces after the flop? Most people I know cant...and they lose alot of chips. AK is so easy to get away from becuase If you dont hit it...you can muck it...its really not gonna make you bust out. You also have more outs with this hand...it really is a better hand in my opinion

Yes you must want to have an overpair over and 2 cards. Ill take AA and you can have AK and we will see who will win 95% of the time haha (AA) , having AA isnt just the fact that you have just one pair, but it usually will cripple alot of the outs of other people. And if you do manage to hit an ace, if someone else does it can help.

And I bet alot of the time you have aces you lose becuase you cant get away from the hand~!!! You wouldnt fold aces if there was two kings on board idiot! Your one of those kids that get an a-10 and cant fold it for the life of them...and u go broke everytime

AK suited would have to be one of my favorites, but I love to see 2 aces in my hand

AA can be hard to get away from. Same goes for AK. How hard is AK to get away from when the flop is AQ2 and someone with AQ bets into you. Or even someone with A2. AK can get you into trouble just like AA.
