i notice some people have something to say if some stay in on a hand with a very slim draw....i'm playin the other night, my brother sitting with me, i get 6,3 hearts.. ace clubs 10 diamonds 4 hearts hits on flop...first to bet goes all in on pocket aces(hes got trips) everyone folds its up to me.
my bother looks at me and says "do it. i got a feeling" not that i trust my brothers feelings...but i went...turn 9 hearts river king hearts...drew my flush..well it was followed by a series of vile comments thrown at me wtf were u stayin in on...u rookie...ect. don't get mad at people if they stay
in an crap even if u "bet them out"..they may simply have the "feeling"...
remember even Doyle Brunson can attribute 2 bracelets to a 10 2 .

ok hemo lets get this play into perspective.......

You made an awful call your putting all of your money into a pot where youll have about a 5% chance of winning on the flop. that in itself is not a profitable play I wouldnt do it your just giving your money away.....

Comparing your hand to Doyles 10 2's is like comparing an apple and a pear.....

1. Doyle Was Heads Up...

2. The Blinds was huge....

3. Doyle Hit the Flop ......

this is a different situation entirely than your was .......

you made a bad call and got lucky.....

however I do agree that you shouldnt get mad with players that make terrible calls you should say nice hand etc.... because the other 95% of times they make that call... they lose their money and those are the times the hand goes in the muck....

And Your profits in poker come from players making mistakes and errors......

Just laugh it off youll get these players money eventually......

Also Hemo could you tell me the sites you play on and you alias... I think I would like to hook up with ya

I agree totally with Tom...also.....

Doyle was playing live and had plenty of time to pick up information.. tells etc... which is alot harder to do on-line. Hence .. gut decision to call live and on-line are two different things.... the latter is based on relatively less information.

What kind of game were you playing HEMO? Was it FL, PL, NL? Maybe I would understand a little better what the bet actually was. I have done this in .05/.10 limit games, but you ar not losing your shirt right off the bat. If it was a PL game, I would serious consdier folding. If it is a NL game, I don't care if I had my whole family behind me telling me they had a feeing, I am either folding or telling them to contribute $5.00 a peice to my poker fund.

As for getting mad, no, I don't get mad at the player and yell at them. Everyone plays their cards different. It is a given. It is not going to so any good to yell at ya, it is only going to put me on tilt more. I agree with TOM. Just say nice hand, get a beer, take a deep breeath and continue play. If needed, get 2 beers or set 12 pack in cooler next to computer desk.

I'm not with Tom and Minkus on the saying 'nh' by the way.... if you'd of called an all-in from me there (not that I would of gone all in with trips on a nice flop like that) I'd of give you a little ribbing. Nothing obscene.... maybe just a 'pathetic' ... or a 'wtf.... what a fish'.... and then I'd leave the table.

I agree with tom's diatribe as well but like ICBM I would not make a nh post and I think worse then losing to a hand of that nature is the other players that compliment the hand ....it makes me question the poker skills of more then just the player who hit the miracle hand.

I was told that I needed anger management classes by several people so I am trying to turn over a whole tree and be nice. Other than that, Someone would have to put alot of XXXXXX over what I would actually want to say.

The idea of praising them is so that they think that their play is good and acceptable .......

so they do it again.....

and you take there money 95% of the time in that situation .......

obviously the hand is awful.. but thats good because you want you opponents to play bad and make mistakes... thats how you win and make money
