Default KK

folded this pre flop in a cash game the other eve.
10 seater I was on the button, few early limpers, 1 raise then the 1 next to me on my right goes all in, $16 into a $0.70 pot.
Decided to fold and not push all my $14 in. Not sure what he had but got the feeling it was the right call

I would have folded it also. That is alot of money to watch leave. Unless you got it to give.

I would have folded unless there had been more money than .70 in the pot already...just not worth the risk against a probable AA

I was watching a big cash game at a local casino in ny one evening...blinds were 10 20 and under the gun raises 250..two callers including the button..to the big blind who raises three thousand..folds to the button who thinks for 3 or 4 minutes...says "its not worth it" and turns over aces!!!!! i could NOT believe it. He had to be facing a lesser pair which would put him at a HUGE advantage. I simply couldn't understand it. You live for those situations as a nl player. If you don't have it in you to put the money in, then switch to limit. That being said, I would have folded the kings probably too..especially if you have people left to act after you.

Good god! Are you on welfare? it's only 14 bucks with an EXCELLENT chance of doubling. A lot of people will go all in on Ak and you would have had the guy dominated .

putting all that money in he either had AA or AK or if he was a bluffer like any AJ AQ A10 etc.. chances are you would have started out being favorite in the hand but ur chances of getting another K given that he didnt have the other one were really small.. in my opinion and in my personal experience i would have called but its a smart fold.. its really easy for him to have had any A.. and an A in flop had u gone unless u kicked in another King..and if he had AK and an A came up ur chances would have been almost less than 10%.. good play hope this helps

Are you nuts? in order to win with that hand he would have to hit one of 3 aces left in the deck - you have about a 20% chance of winning the hand maybe 22% if you are suited. Thats assuming someone else didnt fold an ace. Suggesting that a fold in these circumstances is a "smart move" is ludicrous. There is only one hand you fear and that is AA - you do not fear any lone ace. Furthermore the other player - depending on his level of stupidity - might also go all in with pocket 10, Jacks or Queens.

I remember playing a no limit game in Niagara falls where I had pocket kings. Second hand at the table. Blinds were a dollar so I raised to 10 (typical 3- 4x BB was a meaningless bet - just as likely to get a call on $10). SB went to $30 so I went all in for $100 total. He called (that was all our chips) and flipped AK - looks only a little nervous. The BB says "I folded A7" and the player behind me says "I folded A2" and he looked ill. Sure enough I won the hand and 2 hours later walked away with $360 on a $100 stake.

If you arent willing to gamble on pocket kings - don't play the game cuz you will never make money.
