at party poker-bad beat capital- ihad a royal flush, two hands later ihad four kings and the next hand i flopped aces full of kings. how is that statistically possible? i think i had a better chance of hitting the lottery. i played party poker for a year and a half and got fed up with the bad beats and the astronomically statictically almost impossible hands.
In the last home game I was in there were 3 straights in a row and each one was beat by a full house on the river. Crazy stuff happens in poker - that's why it's so good - it's unpredictable. You see more of the unpredictable nature online cos you play a hell of a lot more hands.
I think it's more than just the large number of hands you see. It's also the stakes. Low stakes cash games and freerolls don't have much money at stake. So people will see hands all the way to the river that they would fold in a live game. So you get more runner runner hand hitting.
depends on the cards on the table, if it's like 6789 in a suit on the table, it's not impossible.. and it's still possible if its 567 but I would've burnt all my cards and poker chips if that ever happened to me.. (I think it accually has happened once.. )
