That's pretty cool. Thanks beaston.

That's right catwoman, just don't you forget it either.

I didn't know all the lyrics to this song, just the main chorus part.

Looks like I did pretty damn good too.

So far so good at first break...I'm in the top 5% and 10,000 get paid, starting with $35... We started with 21,143 players.

Here's one key hand close to break..I almost slow played myself out of this pot, but after much thought I knew he didn't have the ace and made the right call

Congrats Beaston!

Pretty Good, More than doubled your money./

I played in the Poker Players Alliance Tournament at Poker Stars yesterday, for the Petition....ended up winning 70 cents! lollllllllllllllllll

Had a good time...i was up 14,000$ and some one went all in before the flop and i had pocket 7's.....and they had a k*Q unsuited....and wouldn't ya know the first two cards of the flop were a damn k and Q!!!!!!!.....and nothing else came up, sooo i was done. damn.

Was i wrong to call the all in?

What were the blinds at that point?

And re-read...it was 24fpp, not $24....24fpp = 2.4 cents or so...

fpp are "VIP points" that you earn from playing raked hands or buying into tournaments...

Good job to the both of you.

---------------------------------------
You can still sign up for the Petition freeroll and enter.

It's the; PPA Petition - $3,500 turbo Freeroll
at Poker Stars

US citizens sign up here;
http://www.pokerpetition.com/pokerstars/?utm_id=6

The next freeroll is on July 4th at 14:30 ET.

They will have weekly freerolls for this petition until July 25th, being the last freeroll day.
---------------------------------------

I just wanted to add my standings on the Sunday Petition freeroll; not good. I was out about 15 minutes after the first break.

Just before the 1st break, I was taken down from 12,000 chips to 8,600 chips.

I should have paid more attention to the game, as I was playing in three other games at that time. Not good if you want to concentrate on a real tourney.

Anyways, I got my chip count back up to over 12,000 after the break, and then called an all in with two pair against a player who had a pair of K's on the flop.
He had AK and I had 10J.
Flop came; K10J
I made pot bet, player raised me all in.
Turn came; 2
River came; A
He caught his A on the river card to win against me.

To make a long story short, he had the bigger stack so I didn't make it.

Why is it that when I get two pair or trips, someone will almost always beat me with a strait or a flush on the river?

I know, this time it was just a higher two pair, but I think enough is enough with my losing streaks in the money tournaments.
It's usually with legitimate winning hands before the river card comes out too.

Still waiting for my break; in winning with a winning hand on the flop scenario.

Congrats on Second Cash Beaston!

Seems I am in the same rut as Dyno Dan lately. Admittedly I don't play near like I used to but still frustrating to know what you opponent has - know you have him beat - make the right bet - and get nailed on the river.

I don't feel so bad now, thought I was the only one with the suck-out factor on the river cards.
