Default slow start

Just wanted to ask if Im the only guy who hopes for 7,2 or 8,3 for my 1st 4 or 5 hands of
a tour
when this happens I find lots of fish get eaten by bigger fish then the morons
have bigger stacks to take when the real game starts

this is a huge part of my strategy , I seriusly hate high pairs in the 1st 5 hands cause the fish
will kill me before I start

maybe its just me

I do hope for this also. There are so many times that I get QQ-KK-AA-KQ on the first four or five hands and then I don't get crap for the next 25. So yes I do hope that I get a slow start and let the rest of the field play each other out. Take you r shots when you get the chance to try to gain some, and then when the field is down, try to play your game. Lately, has not been good to me though.

I definitely want to see premium hands early - or any other time. Sure, I get knocked out with them sometimes, but that's simply part of poker.

You have to take nice pairs when they come, most of the time they will pay you.
I know that thats why some players sit out for the first 15/30 min so they are not drawn into it But it not nice waiting for all the time outs. others just hit the check/fold any button. overall playing them must be the best bet

if its a free roll i want my good hands early. it goes with out saying i want good hands the entire game. if i get bumped out on a free roll early then i get bumped. to say that AA is a better hand after 2 hours vs 2 minutes would make a difference in how i would play them just doesnt seem right.

If the cards don't shape up, think I am going to become a bottem feeder. Okay, I promise I won't go that low. Mac is right though. It does say don't feed the fish. Unless you do have real ones in a tank. Then please feed them right away.

It seems like alot of the more experienced players "sit out" of the first 10 to 12 hands of a tournament to give the feeding frenzy a chance to pass. Sounds like a solid idea but I doubled up in the first hand against a guy who went all in on the river with NOTHING (I had a king high but felt he was bluffing)....I was in 3 tournaments at the time so if I lost the 1 I wasn't really worried...now someone is probably gonna call me a fish for calling an all in on the river with a king high.

<ducking>
