You got a point there with playing more hands per hour online.
I remember p-issing one person off in a tourney over the issue; where I thought there were more hands in live poker than online.
This was because a couple people at the table would wait for the clock to run out before checking or folding to a bet.
My guess is that the p-issed off person just wasn't getting what I was trying to get at;

too much time waiting to take my turn, online.
I know there can be many more hands played online than in live poker, but there are also times where it's the other way around.
