Default Single Draw 2-7

I know this topic is a bit off from Razz, but I think it's pretty close since it is like 5 card draw, but in a low-ball fashion.

I played in a Single Draw 2-7 NL freeroll last night. The top 56 players go on to another tournament.
And this game was really packed, starting with 7,000 players.

At the first break there were 2038 players left over and I just hit the last pot bringing my chip total up to 14,000.
The average stack at that time was just over 10,000, so I thought I had a good chance to make it further on in the game.
The chip leader had just over 56,000 chips.
I was sitting in third place at my table, where the chip leader had over 34,000 chips.

In another half hour, after I was switched to another table, my chips were just over 17,000. I figured that in another hour most of the 1,800 players left over would be whittled down to a couple hundred, but I ran into a snag.

I went all-in with two other players. I had a 97532, the winner had a 96532. Damn, that p-issed me off. Should have known though, since a person can get a 75432 to win any hand, as long as it's not suited.

What blew me away, was the person who went all-in; with A6432.
My guess was that he had a brain fart and thought the A was low at that moment. I did it once myself during the game, but didn't go all-in with it.

Needless to say, I went out in 1638th place. A long way from the top 100 mark.

I'll do better when it's not past my bedtime, where I'm in a game and don't have to worry about getting my rest.

I had a couple four of a kind's, one yesturday and one on Saturday.

Saturday's tourney that I was playing, was Omaha Hi. I got lucky and took out a couple players with 4 9's, starting out with a pair in my hand of course.
That tournament set me at 65th place for a money tourney on Sunday.

Sunday's tourney was a $2,000 7 Card Stud tournament. I had 8's in my hand and got my quads on the flop.
I had to check down to the river card before someone bet, and then I made a double bet and only one player called.

I only made it to somewhere around 2,000th place out of 6,000 players.
The one player that took me out, I would get two pair and he would get a strait. I would get a strait and he got a full house. Every time on his river card.

What did me in; I had a pair on the flop and bet the pot, he went all in with a flush draw, so I called. He got his flush on the river card.
Every time this same player would beat me on the river card. Go Figure.

What can a player do, against a conservative/agressive player who always gets their card on the river?

I figured I would keep this thread going since it's about a 2-7 tourney I joined last night.

It was a 215 play money Triple-draw 2-7 tournament, which is a little off topic, but not as far off as my first post in this thread.

I had played 2-7 many times and know that if you get a 10 or higher for your low card, don't expect to win a hand if there are 1 or more persons betting before your last draw.

One player was winning every hand out of five thus far. I did have a 10 high once and if I would have drawn a 9 I would have won the pot from this one person who was raking the pot on every hand.

(Ok, this is like my b-itch session, got to get it out )

My next hand I managed to get a 76542 on my last draw and started raising.

The "winner" raised right behind me, and two others folded, so I call his raise and lose my bets.

The "winner" at the table gets a 76532!

On my next hand I fold, click on the "sit out next hand" box, and leave my poker playing for the night.

Things like this get under my skin. One person wins every hand and there's no chance to get your chips back.

It was getting close to my betime afterall, so perhaps I didn't lose too many of my free money chips, just a little higher blood pressure for a few minutes.
