Default Hate Omaha!!

It's a little bit confusing to me.Â* I like to stick to one type of play. No limit hold'em!! I feel I play better and learn more by "specializing" in one type of play
Trying to learn too many types of Poker gets me confused when playing. I want to focus and turn pro as a no limit hold'em player.

Hi/Lo is a fairly easy game and you can make a lot of money on a cash table. But lots of players only raise and play their low. Thats not always good play because, not only do you need 3 other low cards on the board and lots of time the other player raising your bet also as the same low A2 as you do so your giving the Hi the lions share and your splitting the low with anouther player and most of the time it adds up to less that your bets.

Don't you love it though when people do bet the los and tie and you have the high? You pretty much get 3 to 1 on the pot....
Granted I do play los more often than highs, especially in Omaha only because If I start with 8/9/10/J Double suited or Pocket Queens with 9/8 suited or a good starting hand...NOTHING ever hits and I end up losing to someone that played A/8/10/4 with maybe one suited possibilities...
Of course people have their own strategies but I usually go for lo's.......seems to benefit me more....

I'm in this club. Hate it. Too much going on. Too many cards to deal with. Too many options. Too confusing. Give me a no limit holdem game any day. I just can't wrap my head around this game. I know with some reading and practice I can get it but the truth is I'm only interested in winning a holdem bracelet -- you can have the omaha.

Ill play it if its the only game I can find but I usually avoid it. There are to many high hands in that game. Its hard for me to tell if im really sitting pretty or just sitting on my arse.

I most often find myself in Omaha games by accident , but I will say that as a game it's a great way to build "hand recognition skills", especially when you see multiple players all-in and you have to figure several on-going hands!

After a few games of Omaha, recognizing even the most complex hand situations in Texas is a breeze!!
