eerrrrr...like you calculate Holdem odds...it's the same laws of math that apply....

Just remeber tha O is a game of draws and re-draws - where sometimes folding the current nuts on the flop is the most sensible play...especially in h/l

I'm not sure but there is some sort of way to do it mathmaticaly. From what I know it's like this. After the flop multiply your outs by four and by two on the turn and that gives you your percentage of how often you are going to win.

I'm not jmuch of an Omaha player but I think I would like to get to know it a little better. I am going to try to play in a freeroll tonight. I'm not sure how much I will learn from this as there are so many crazies in the freerolls. The only other times I have attempted it are at the play money tables and that is pretty much a joke. I am doing better at holdem but I still make lots of mistakes. I think its time to start expanding my playing fields a little though

I would like some advice on omaha. It is an entertaining game that I am trying to learn. I feel half confident with texas hold em. The his n lows drive me nuts sometimes when I forget they are there.

Advice, well just playing gets you use to what hands are good, you usually arent going to win with a straight if there is a paired board, and the same goes for a flush, two pair barley wins, if you doe win with one pair then your very very lucky, as for low if you pick up A2 in the hand, and 3 card combination of 3-8 on the board would give you the nut low (assuming an ace or 2 doenst hit, then sometimes you dont have nut low anymore)..., Dont just play every hand, try n play stuff with double suited connectors, 4 running cards, etc.... And remember you never know what people have as most people play every hand.... lol.

Example of 3 similar lows:
23478 ---- Worst
A3478 ---- 2nd best
A2367 ---- Best

Counting odds for Omaha sounds scary as anything. It seems like every other hand, someone gets a full house. And at a 10-people table, thats 40 out of 52 card in player hands.

I am not sure about how to count the odds but in comparison to holdem, I think that the odds are much harder to calculate, especially when you play H/L.
