Default My 5th Royal Flush

I was playing in an Omaha Hi/Lo tourney at Poker Stars on Saturday, and into the half hour after the first break I was switched to another table.

Five minutes go by and I can't win because this one player, Saber Hag, kept raising the pot or going all-in on us.

Well, I helped put an end to his raising with this;

PS-RF-Tourney.jpg

A Diamond Royal Flush!!!

A few hands later he was taken out of the tourney (thank goodness) and then I was switched to another table.

Just before the second break, on my 3rd table now, I get this hand which is about the best low hand you can get in Hi/Lo;

PS-SF-Tourney.jpg

An A to 5 strait flush!

(Something about me getting Diamonds this day?)

I just had to put these two hands up. Getting a RF and SF within a half hour of each other is awesome in my book.

Needless to say, with both of these great hands I went out in 740th place.
Which isn't too bad with over 8000 players starting. Top 72 went to the Sunday $2,000 tourney.

I will get there again some day, and hopefully make a little free cash in the process.

I understand. I will have to pat myself on the back for these two great hands.

But still, the odds of getting two strait flushes in a half hour has got to be way up in the hundreds of millions to 1.

Very nice...*pats on back*

That's one thing I almost hate about hi/lo omaha though...you can hit a royal flush and still split the pot with someone else...

I like the 2nd hand better, a wheel straight flush for the scoop

Way to go!

Pretty powerful hands to get in same tournament! I think I have gotten 1 Royal Straight Flush before.

Gotten one Wheel straight flush too but awesome you got in same game and took out a bully!

Thank you, thank you very much!

I think that's the first time I've heard the term too, wheel strait or wheel hand, or I just haven't been paying attention.

My guess is that its the A through the 5.

What's hard about getting hands like that last one, is trying not to bet too much so you can get more chips off of other players and hope they will go all-in at some point.

Oh, and I guess women called the "wheel" a rollie pollie instead of a wheel, right?

So why not call it a rollie pollie then, instead of the stupid wheel name?
