So the best hand possible is A-2-3-4-5?

Thats strange, i never understood the game actually.

Lost alot of bucks on those game, didnt know it was Omaha hi/lo thought i registered for NLHE

The best low hand in Omaha is A2345. That isn't necessarily the best high hand and I don't think that was what the original poster meant.
Omaha is a drawing game. Often having the dead nuts after the flop doesn't mean a whole lot. You should only proceed generally in hands with draws to the nuts. Omaha, can be a lot of fun to play. Learn to play it well and it can be very profitable as most players that play it now don't understand the game all that well.

For those starting off and if you are still confused at all a good point to remember is that you have to rank your low hand by your highest playing low card. I did not realize for awhile that ona a board with 3 4 5 on it that ' 7 2 ' in your hand gives you a better low than ' A 8 ' it does not go by who has the lowest card and then by kicker like the high hand. but by who's highest low card is lower.
