Default Omaha information

Omaha Holdem poker rules are based on Texas Holdem with these main differences:

1.Players are dealt four pocket cards.

2.Player have to use two pocket cards and three community cards to make the best possible poker hand.

3.There can be a maximum of 10 players.

When playing omaha poker each player is dealt four cards face down these are the pocket cards. Then the first betting round begins. Rounds are the same as in Texas Holdem a game most of us already know how to play.

Playing:

1.Preflop this is two cards are dealt to every player face down, starting with the small blind.

2.The Flop is the dealer lays out the first three community cards in the center of the table you are playing at.

3.The Turn is a fourth card that is dealt face up in the middle of the table.

4.The River is the fifth and final card is dealt face up in the middle of the table.

The player with the best 5 card hand is the winner.

I personally have never played this game so now that I have read up on it I will have to give it a try.

Thank you pokergirl40. Omaha hi/lo is one of my favorite games to play since there are so many possible hands that can win.

I noticed under the "Playing:" area, number one mentions...
"1.Preflop this is two cards are dealt to every player face down, starting with the small blind."

It should be; the preflop is when 4 cards are dealt face down to every player.

Normal Omaha poker is where the best 5-card hand or hands win the pot.

Thank you, I really do not know much about this game, I guess I will have to try it some time soon, it seems like a fun game to play, but I have never tried it, I do not think any of my friends have either.

Talking about Omaha or omaha hi/lo, I haven't played this card game in quite awhile now. Guess it's time to get back into online poker playing...

Oh, I forgot; US players cannot play real money poker games online.

Perhaps one day...
