I can't believe no-one has anything to say about omaha! It seems like a very difficult game to me. You just about never know if you've gott a winning hand or not until most of your stack is in the pot! Usually need a flush or a full house to win a hand and then half the time you jag a win with just a pair of 10s or something. One good thing is how quickly the tourneys progress. Esp in pot limit or no limit. What do you think?
Hi Holdem - these child boards / omaha / stud / limit are all new. All the posts are still below them on the general poker discussion thread. I'm sure now they got their own little section there'll be more posts in them though.
what do i think? i think that most of the players that play in the omaha, omaha h/l, stud, stud h/l are just action junkies that are just playing because the tournament is free. i use the term "action junkies," instead of some other terms that come to mind. these players just raise and re-raise every single hand. most of these players just want to or should i say are praying to win and accumulate a lot of chips. i think all these players are naturally holdem players and really dont know what they are doing. i am still looking for some good stud tournaments. i play at ap, ph and jetset. any other sites with good stud tourneys? also, i know this is "old-school," but any good sites with 5-card draw? i was browsing through celeb last night and found some draw games. wow, a blast from the past!! 5-person tables. i guess most european sites probably have more stud, omaha and draw games.
I play Pot Limit Omaha pretty well when I'm in a extremely relaxed state!Â* As for the other variations, I'd rather play *KENO*, .Â* By the way, I hate KENO, !Â* Botton Line, Omaha takes patience.
I like playing Omaha especially when I have a real good hand after the flop. You would be amazed at who keeps raising and raising and raising. One time I had a pair of fives and fives laid down on the flop, I just called to see who was going to raise and three people just kept raising.
The recently defunct pokershare site was offering 5 card triple draw low ball (both a-5 and 2-7 variations) and also crazy pineapple (3 card irish to the european readers).
I know that pokershare was the illegitimate lovechild of ultimatebet and so wonder if you might find these games on there.
perhaps i'll download it and find out.... one more wont kill my hard drive I guess (43 sites and counting)
