my favourite hands are middle pocket pairs, purely because they make sets more often than high ones and also they have more straight possibilities

The best hand should have some kind of better way of winning because if u ask me they shouldnt even have a percentage really cause anything happens in poker. I have seen a lot of ppl catch amazing cards, and i mean amazing.

Honestly AK is not that good of a hand unless you hit with it. AK is the most overrated hand in my opinion. Because the only thing you can beat is 2 random cards. Even 22 is a favorite against AK. I'm not saying fold it but dont go all in with it.

Errr, no and no again. Maybe we should start a sub-forum called desinformation in poker strategy where we can move all these gems of "wisdom".

Hey Papa,

What's a Legaue? I sure hope you're not trying to spread disinformation about spelling.

I don't think that mid pp's make sets any more often than high pp's but one thing is for sure, if you have AA the third A hitting the flop isn't gonna be as harmless looking as a third 5 or 6 would be. so for this reason you can make a hell of a lot more from a lower set because it is more likely that someone else hit a higher pair.

you are on the right track... JT suited is a GREAT hand in my book, but you generally want to be up against 3 or more players with a hand like this. (not calling an all in heads up at least) butthe truth about JT is if you hit a straight that uses both of your cards.... YOU HAVE THE NUTS (barring a flush or boat on board) even a flush with JT is good enough. I'm really not sure why anyone would consider this a bad hand on a scale of 1 - 10 I'd give JTs a solid 8
