Just ignore people like that
Players who call other players fish in the chat box are nearly always fish themselves, otherwise they'd know not to tap the fish bowl.

Deco's right on the money. It's a waste of time and mental energy - no matter how little it takes - to pay attention to people when they're acting up. And I don't mind at all when mediocre players think I'm not at their level. In fact, keeping them thinking like that is good for my bankroll.

Exactly, players who go allin on a flush draw and actually hitone on the river really are the fish. U should definetly look him up ! There are debts to be payed and a fish like that is good for the bankroll !

I one time had 8 9 suited and there was only one other person in the hand. the flop comes down 6 7 9. He acts first and makes a big bet. I have top pair and an open ended straight draw, so I re raise. He then goes all in and I call. Ha has AA, I make my straight on the turn and win. He gets ****ed off and call me a fish and goes on and on and on before he finally leaves. Would you have done the same thing that I did??

Smart play, you're a small favorite against anything except the made straight and a set.

I guess the real question you have to answer is, would you have made the call to the river if it was a 500 dollar buyin versus a freeroll or a 2 dollar buyin and if you cant make the calls in both cases then your playing loose.

As good a question as that is hayden1009 and I wish I had asked myself it many a time. I can’t seem to remember what I paid to play or what I’m playing for in most of the games I play in. That might be caused by the fact I like to play at least two games so I can stay focused on poker and not other things around the house. I can remember many days when I would think to myself “didn’t I have more money” only to check and find that I played eight games and spent up to 100 on sit n goes. On second thought maybe it’s for the best I don’t remember what I paid to play. I don’t think I want that fact becoming a discourage factor in my thought making process as to how I play a hand. I think poker is more a game played at that moment and not what I paid to get to that moment
