Default hand

have you ever asked a question like 'How do I play AK suited preflop in Texas Holdem Poker?' and was the answer : 'It depends.' I bet it was. this site aims to eliminate the 'It depends.' answer by offering you an analysis of all hands played in all conditions. a big task?

Fairly simple hand to play.

if folded to or limped to obviusly it should be raised

If someone has raised you have to decide to reraise or call depending on the blinds, the player who originally raised, their position, your position, who is to act behind you and how many players have called this raise.

ye ok the last bits abit complex, to put it simply I tend to mainly just call a raise or make a raise myself with this.

AK has a positive expectative when you push all in pre flop, so if you don't want to invent. Go all-in and don't think if you don't know how to play this had...

AK is not a pushing hand...... it's ace high at the end of the day. Unless you're short stacked I'd never recommend going all-in pre-flop with it.

Look at it this way....... 22.. a pretty mediocre hand. This is beating AK pre-flop (just). You've also got to ask yourself what type of hand will call a preflop all-in... and the answer you gotta come up with 95% of the time is a pocket pair putting you in the position of needing to hit. The odds say you are more likely to miss than hit.

We're all here to play poker I presume? I mean the action is on the community cards... the only reason you're raising pre-flop is to reduce the amount of people seeing the flop.
