Default Kinda interesting.

This was just a very strange hand I got involved it. The way the hand developed it ended up costing me a lot of money just due to me having to call because of pot odds. This is what happens when you make one bad call.

I was at the casino playing $1/$2 NL. The cards get dealt, one player in mid-early position limps. It folds around to the SB who raises to $8. I'm in the BB and I look down at . Not a great hand, but I decided to take a flyer on it and see if I could get a flush. So I toss in my $6 and the limper calls as well.

FLOP

Really couldnt ask for much better of a flop. I got a backdoor straight draw, an overcard, and the nut flush draw. The SB fires out $12. I call of course and the limper goes all-in for $22. The SB then tries to go all-in but is then told he can't raise as the limper's all-in was not an official raise because he couldnt double the original bet. So all he can do now is call. Now I pretty much have to call too as I already have $12 out there and it's only going to cost me $10 more for a chance to win this huge pot.

TURN

Good card for me as now my straight draw is coming around. Now the SB goes all-in for his last $18 like I knew he would. So what can I do? I have to call $18 to win like $109 so I have to call AGAIN. So I reluctantly call and the cards get flipped. I'm up against JJ and 10-10. So any ace, 6, or heart will win the hand for me. Of course I brick on the river and the Jacks take it down. Still wish I never would have called pre-flop. lol

IMO you did nothing wrong in this hand...... I would call a reasonable raise with any suited Ace!!!

Its seems you are being to results orienated.....

your getting great odds of 8 to 1 on the flop ($80 in pot $10 to call) after the limper moves all in and then on the turn odds of 6 to 1...... you only need 4 to 1 for the flush and your odds are better than 2 to 1 with all the outs taken into account.....

you played the hand correctly according to your odds and thats all you can do......

Stop worrying about winning the hands and just stay focused on making the right decisions..... I doubt we would of seen this post if that heart Ace or 6 popped up on the river would we

I'm not really complaining about the results, just thought it was interesting the way this particular hand developed giving me no real way of getting out. However, if on the flop the SB was able to move in I probably would have gotten away from it. I'm still kicking myself for calling that raise pre-flop though. I try to stay away from hands like that when I'm facing a raise out of position at 9 seater tables.

I agree you had plenty of outs on the turn.... I would have definetly played that hand the same way you did.....Whenever i go into a pot i always remeber that naything can happen so i play cautiously but still alittle agressive...... The guy with JJ did earn that pot but u had a very good chance of taking it.
