Wink Passive Pathetic Deco

.10/.25 NL ten man ring game

I excuse my passive play based on me being unaccustomed to multitabling
oh and everyone in this hand has a full stack of $25

I'm dealt in the BB

UTG a new player to the table raises to $0.75
UTG+1 who is perhaps the loosest player in existance calls
It folds to me and I call

Is this a good idea?
as it is unlikly am up against a premium hand that would give me my implied odds and am out of position

The flop comes:

The pot is $2.35
I check (I have no idea why)
UTG bets $1.75
UTG +1 of course calls
I call

Lets forget about my stupid check, to close the betting here should I have raised or folded?
Looking back at the hand I would suspect UTG has an overpair higher than mine and fold.

hmm I cant believe am puttin this hand down as its pretty lame am just irritated at how I played so badly at this table, I think I was going passive as mr I call anything preflop had me playing passive as he was continuously hitting two pair with the likes of
9-3 offsuit after calling a raise in early position

I don't think it is! Without a raise you can't make the following statement.

I re-raise heve would have given you a better idea of this players strength, and if you won't do it here when would you?

to close the betting here should I have raised or folded?

Well if you had did what I said then big bet. Playing the hand the way you did fold. Then go get into your bed and stay there for a week and let this hand go forget it like it never happened.

I would have probably re-raised pre-flop. Two reasons for this, first you're out of position against an unknown player with a vulnerable hand. You should want to take control of the betting here if you want to stand a chance of winning this pot without hitting a set. Second, it gives you a chance to eliminate one of the players or possibly both. This is a slight variation on the "Squeeze Play" which I'm sure you're familiar with. New guy has to come up with a hand here as he's the middle man and is almost certain to face a substantial bet from you on the flop and has to face that bet with the knowledge that there's someone still to act after him if loose guy calls as well. Loose guy probably has nothing and will be forced to commit a lot of chips pre-flop with a garbage hand.

What did you do on turn ?

If you bet pot on turn then the first two calls look like a trap !
Very dangerous play (if one of them calls or raises your toast ) but you could take down the pot with this bet !

.10/.25 game they may not even think trap !
You should have bet preflop !!

yah DSV has been doin rounds on my hand analysis posts.

Squeeze plays are generally done when the raise is made by an aggressive player who may not have the hand their representing.
I would not like to make this play against an unknown low stakes player as chances are they'll call me and I won't be armed with much information that can help me take them off their hand after the flop as they have just sat down and I will be out of position.
