Default Pocket 7's

I was in a freeroll at a restaraunt (winner take 100$) and it was the final table w/ 8 people left, i only had about 3 or 4 big blinds left when i got pocket 7s. The person next to me raised enough to put me all in after i called blind. A few people folded and some1 with 3 big blinds went all in. Then another guy went all in, and it was all in to me, i was debating to call because i thought it was the best hand ide see before i blinded out. But i decided to fold. The original raiser called the all in and every1 flipped there cards. The first guy had big slick, the 2nd had pocket 7s also, and the 3rd had AQ. The 3rd guy ended up winning with a queen on the river.

My question is what is the correct or best way to play pocket 7s? It was a good fold on my part, but would u have called? or pre flop should i have called?

Oh I'd like to know the awnser to that too. I find myself feeling more confident with 33 than 77 simply because I know what the 33 can do for me and when I should fold but those darn middle pairs are a lot harder call.

I think you made the right choice to fold, which is what I would have done

too. The reason I would have folded is that there were too many callers and,

eventually, allins. Had it been a showdown just between you and one other

player, I would have gone allin, seeing as you were short stacked. Also, if

you had been in 'late position' and first to the pot, I would again go allin.

If three people went all in, I would have probably folded. It depends though, because when you're actually there, it's a whole different story. Maybe a little desperation would have made me call. But as the NELLOB said, if it was one other player, then I would have gone all in.
