Default Possible to fold here?

Live 200NL Full ring
$1/$2 blinds
Effective stacks :
Hero $250
Villain 1 - $100
Villain 2 - $400

Villain 1 is relatively unknown to me. I've never played with him before but he seems like you're typical amateur player, plays too many marginal hands, no concept of position, overvalues top pair, etc . . .

Villain 2 is a player I've been playing with every week for quite some time. Very solid player. Fairly tight, knows when to be aggressive, capable of making some advanced plays.

Hero is in BB with

Villain1 raises to $8 from EP
MP calls $8
Villain 2 calls $8 from Button
Hero calls $6 from BB

Pot is $33

Flop :

Hero bets $20
Villain 1 raises to $45
MP folds
Villain 2 calls $45
Hero calls $25

Pot is $168

Turn :

Hero checks
Villain 1 moves all in for his last $60ish
Villain 2 re-raises enough to put me all in

There's roughly $420 in the pot at this point with me having to call about $200.

Possible to fold here? Cold call by villain 2 on the flop seems to scream flush draw, my best guess is JTs. Any thoughts?

Yeah I think you should read what you wrote about villain 1 and if you think this sounds like what you did tell us why you played these two cards. Sure you were getting a great price to call, but with three in you were a super large dog here. Now if a spade hits on the river what do you do then? More chips please.

You lay it down pre flop and watch.

2 to 1 odds
Do you think there is a 33% chance your opponent may not have the higher flush.

I think the fact your opponent can be aggressive may make this a call for me.
I think the pot has become too big for this to be folded as AK and AQ are possible holdings perhaps even 5,6 77 or 44.

The cold call seems like a flush draw I've got to admit but many people do not like Reraising their strong hands even on possible flush boards as it scares of all opponent and reveals the strength of your hand.

Also you say villain 2 knows when to be aggressive.
You bet the flop and Villain 1 raised it, if I was playing this hand against you I would not put either of you on a flush draw so the flush card on the turn would be a perfect opportunity to push in to make sure your not drawing to a flush on the river and perhaps push out a better hand from a player (you) that Villan 2 probably knows can make big folds.

Having said all this chances are he has the flush but I don't think its likely enough to fold, I'd call.
If he had me best I'd simply post the hand on this forum and moan about it

This is a super easy call against these two players. The main reason being is neither of them are that capable of laying down a big hand so my implied odd's are enourmous. Also, if the board comes junk, a pair of 5's or just a lead out on the turn if it checks around on the flop is going to be enough to win this about 30% of the time. The strength of my hand is irrelevant if my opponents come up empty on the flop.

(btw, if none of them has a pair in their hand and even one of the cards in their hands match one of the other players, I'm actually the favorite to win in a 4 way pot with the lowly 5-3)

So Deco are you saying would have tossed an extra three bets into a pot from out of position with a 5 high in hopes of hitting a flush. I might if they were connected but I’m not even that loose, I think.

Okay let’s say I’m still in at the turn. From where I sit I’m going to make this call. I can’t get my head around you of all people calling pre flop with 5 3 even if they were suited. I see this hand playing out with you holding slick or even worse rockets. I see villain 1 calling with the 5 3 and you going ballistic after the beat. But if you say this is how it played then so be it, what was the river card?

By the way ty DS you always make me think hard.

tbh I would have made the call as well and am probably tighter than both of you

Calls like this in tournaments will lose you money but in ring games the massive stacks give you great implied odds to play your drawing hands.

This situation is perfect for low semi-connectors because:
*there are four people in the pot= Big pot+Implied odds
*Its a ring game therefore the stacks are huge= Implied odds
*Your hand is very hidden= If you make your straight two pair or trips no-one will see it coming.

The downside to this play is it will leave you with some very difficult decisions after the flop so you need to be able to play very well after the flop. Its DSV so I think I can safely presume this is the case

easy call...V1 a pair of aces and V2 2 pair maybe a set...with your bet of 25 in the flop he put you on an A but nothing scary for him because probaly at that time he had the best hand and thats why he didnt hesitate to call the V1 reraise and you just called maybe he thought you were not confortable with your hand....when the turn came and V1 60 all in was thrown with that possible flush V2 made that reraise because he was trying to pretend that he had the flush, but it wasnt a bluff...instead a semibluff...he still had 6 to 10 outs left and he was trying to take the pot in that moment maybe beacuse he thought there were possibilties of you holding a spade card...he just didnt knew that you had the nuts at that very moment...
but whats with the villain and heroe thing...come on!...fairy tales!

Well I'd like to say I made an incredible read and got away from this hand but sadly I didnt. I managed to come in 3rd in a 3 horse race after the river card. After I called off my stack we showed down. Villain 1 had A-9 for two pair and Villain 2 had QsTs for the second nut flush. I'm assuming he put me on a set which was the reason for the all-in on the turn. The river was another 9 giving Villain 1 a full house for the main and Villain 2 took down the side pot and I was left looking for the chip runner . . .

Looking back I probably should have been able to get away from this very easily. There's nothing else other than a big flush draw that villain 2 would have here really. Single pair, he would have folded on the flop. Two pair or trips and he would have re-raised on the flop. He's obviously not bluffing as he stands to win nothing by forcing me out of the pot at this point. And something that he could semi-bluff with, let's say an Ace with the King of spades seems highly unlikely as that's an easy fold for him on the flop when facing a raise and a re-raise. Oh well, live and learn.
