Default Quite possibly my best laydown yet.

Playing $1/$2 NL at the casino. It's still early in the night and I have about $250 in front of me. I pick up AA in the SB. It limps around to me and I bump it up to $18. I get only one caller, An EXTREMELY loose player. Honestly, he only folds around 10 hands a night preflop. (Not kidding) So the flop comes out 10-4-2 rainbow. I'm liking that flop so I lead out with $30. He then raises it to $100. I think for a while before deciding to muck. I show him my aces and he turns over 10h-2h.

No DS is smart enough to know that aces are a lot leaker after the flop and are better played storng pre-flop or mucked to the losse player's reraise after the flop. Well played post flop thats all I'll say LOL.

Afraid of calling $100? lol what kinda question is that. And when I analyzed the situation it was a pretty easy laydown. I actually put him on a set of 4's but two pair is close enough.

Nice laydown, I'd find ti very difficult to give up on my aces on a flop that good with a player who could be playing anything.

Tell or betting patterns may I ask?
There are some brilliant fish out there who only ever raise with monster hands in which case I may be able to lay it down if am in a good mood, as for tells I'd need him to be two pair under his beath for me to rely on the read enough to fold

Okay this guys loose but is he crazy? Would he have called a $50-$100 bet pre flop with 10-2? (Doyal he's not). Your bet seemed to get a call and no info. What outs did you leave yourself with your $18 bet? Aces + losse player = big pre-flop bet. Mid size bet + loose player = aces folded.

Loose = gambler. You knew it, you played it and you live with its outcome.

Were you hoping your reputation would buy you the pot?

Don’t get me wrong DS just something to think about and I’m sure you already did. We play to learn and to learn we all obligated to think about our beats.

Well this player is extremely loose, but he's not dumb. There's no way he's raising me here with a hand like A-10 or even JJ. I had already eliminated KK and QQ as both would have been a pre-flop raise, or certainly a limp/re-raise after I raised. There's no major draws out there, other than the wheel. If the board had been a little more draw heavy, I'd definately have went broke here as I would have put him on a big draw and not a big hand. There's nothing he's raising me with here that a pair of aces have beat.

You know DS as a looser gambler myself I feel it’s my duty to tell you a little secret. And that is, we looser players think in reverse to our close relative the tighter player. We also know that a tighter player is even tighter when they first sit down at a new table. Just as a tighter player knows that the looser players will loosen up more as their chip stack falls.

Ok now think like the looser player. He knows your tighter a player. You stated that it was early in your night and I think he is aware of this. He also knows your in the SB and that it was limped around too you. Then you raised pre flop from the SB nine times the BB.

As a loose player I know you have a big pair. Or I’m praying you do and that a garbage board hits or even better mid range cards with at least two of them suited. On the garbage board I’ll bet you put me on trips if I lead out or come over the top. On the mid cards I know you can’t even call a teaser bet or that’s what I’m betting anyway.

Just like you have a plan for the loose player so do we for a tighter one.
