The Joy of SSC
ok lets get this hand analyisis thread pumping... this is what we play..... this is how we learn.... so enough about your shoe size and stuff and on with some hand jiving!!!
Im going to post a couple of very successful hands for me.... these occured in a cash game last night and where the two major pots I won during the whole session.....
Now I have posted these for you to see the potential carnage that Small suited connectors/1-2 gappers and suited Aces/Kings can cause.....
Also I would like to hear your opinions on these hands... I know some of you will hate how I played this but this is my style.... and I have a great deal of success with it... I will explain my personal opinion after a few replys..... so heres hand number one.... Ill post hand two in another post......

Re: The Joy of SSC
Im not too impressed by the buttons play.
I can understand the pre flop betting. the flop play should have alerted him that you were solid.
Now...
Your play to me would depend on how you were running before this hand and if the button was tight.
based on just looking at the hand play, you were out of position and raised 6x bb. I would not had played this hand (just based on no reads of the player or history at the table)
k4 suited is -0.05 EV, not a winning hand normally. You are a 70 to 30 loser preflop vs this qq.

Re: The Joy of SSC
You make me sick Â* :P
I love the way in the bit before the hand you say 'the carnage that Small suited connectors/1-2 gappers can cause'..... then in the hand you play K4 suited. Â*I lost a $160ish pot at Titan yesterday at the $0.50/$1 tables when someone raised it up to $4 and I re-raised (with AA) up to $19 and he called with K5 suited and flop hit down K45 rainbow. Â*So yes... I do hate how you played it but whatever works for you mate.

Re: The Joy of SSC
I just don't like the pre-flop call after that fair enough mate... the guy might of thought he was ahead on flop but he should of known he was behind after turn.
The second one I prolly would of played the same......

Re: The Joy of SSC
OMG Tom. When I think of the number of times I've sat in these cash games with you and folded to your $1 and $2 raises, not knowing what absolute crud you were playing.
Thanks for this Tom. Never again will you take so much as an ante from me.
I have you read like a book now. :P
I always respected your raises in the past but can now see what a chancer you are
