Top Pair Ace Kicker, Out of position

I've been playing at a 6man (0.25/0.50) table for 15minutes so any information I have on my opponents is incomplete.
everyone had over $50

The Big Blind has been raising preflop alot but I have not seen any of the hands, so I suspect he is aggressive preflop, I have bearly seen him play postflop but he has not made any raises.

I'm in the Small Blind and I am dealt

It folds to me and I raise to $1.70
The BB calls

The pot is $3.40, The flop comes:

I bet $1.75
The BB raises to $6

The pot is $11
What Should I do

I say raise to twenty , that way if he has a flush draw he isn't getting the right odds to call .
If he was two pair he might think you have trips .
If he has trips your toast !!

I call.... and then if the next card isn't a spade ace or 9 bet big on the turn. If it is I worry. I'd be thinking QJ or KJ possible spades for this guy - or that he's making a play thinking you more than likely missed it.

Personally I would push give him both barrels. Make him think hard then have him pay you. His call would make me think paint and if that’s the case he’s out kicked or chasing. Slick or a big pair was a pre flop re-raise in hopes of a fold or to gain info. You have him so it’s a quick push so he thinks bluff.

Now remember I don’t mess with cash games. I have and know enough to stay clear of the chip mongers that live in them rooms. Sit down and play do or die poker and I’m in.

I really am finding hands like this very irritating as theres nothing I hate more than being raised when out of position

why would you hate being raised when OOP? You should be licking your chops awaiting the big pot that will coming your way a few hands down the road if they keep it up.

Oh, btw, I fold but that's just me. Marginal hand at best on that board and you're probably up against a stupid two pair (the ever popular and donkish, QT) or even a monster draw, like AJ/KJ spades that you're behind to anyways. If you were ahead, it doesnt really matter, you have a whopping $3.50 invested in this pot and I can think of about a thousand other situations I'd rather have my money in than this one that are far more favorable. Maybe you'll get real lucky and that jackass will show you his hand lol.

I play .25/.50 like a rebuy turny dsvw56 is right about you having a marginal hand .
But $6.00 smells like a bluff to me !
And if I'm wrong I buy more chips or find a new table !

meh a raise generally leads to a big pot, I don't like playing big pots out of position without very strong hands. Top pair ace kicker just aint strong enough for me to feel comfortable with.

I actually folded this but I regret the decision, Two pair is a possibility but more likely is top pair weak kicker.
Thing is I havn't seen this guys postflop play enough to make a proper decision.

If I played this again I think I would have called then thrown out a feeler bet on the turn, if am raised am probably up against 2pair, if I'm called I'll likely get to see a showdown for cheap.

Still I was pretty ashamed of my decision to fold nice to see other people would consider it also
