Default A few tips on Pot Limit

1.There is nothing wrong with starting out by playing a tight aggressive way.

2.Play money games aren't a good representation of real money games.

3.Compare 35s with AJ or KJ. With the 35s you'll either have a flush or straight draw or nothing.

All good points to go by in a pot limit game.

1. Most players will start out tight agressive in nearly all poker games if they are live, but not so much so in online games since you have to find out how the other players play without seeing their tells.

I generally start out tight agressive too, but sometimes find myself playing rather loosely to try to catch a couple pots for free at the start of a game.

2. Play money games don't generally play out the same way as cash games, but they're pretty darn close.
I do play a lot of play money games just to keep in practice though.

3. Oh contraire. Let's not forget the dreaded "trips, full house, or four of a kind" that are possible with these small cards.
I've been beaten down with these same small cards more than I can remember.

Of course, the higher cards have beaten me down more often.

Thank you for the valuable info.

I like to play against week players too, those who like to bluff every other hand to try and take the pot, they give me the extra chips I need to keep my poker game moving forward.

thanks for sharing your tips. frankly said, I prefer to play online only for fun, but I am preparing to do it for real and I want to start my money career exactly with pot limit holdem. So thanks again!

Pot limit holdem can be fun and the less expensive way to play holdem poker, but the pot limits do go up and before you know it you could be going all-in on one hand.
