Default limit screw ups

I hate it when people hastely register for a

limit holdem when they really wanted a nolimit game.

Then they max bet till they lose or sometimes win...

I do that

I have on occasion accidently signed up for a limit heads up match - what a pain in the arse they are I tell you. First time I maxed the betting every round - second time I did it I told the guy that I signed up for wrong one and that I was gonna sit out and let him have it lol

Just last night I had some psycho who signed up for a limit Omaha freeroll on AP who after the first hand declared how much he hated it and then started going max bets every round. The worst thing was, he was one of these crazies that announces at the start of every hand what he is holding. I took most of his chips, but didn't place in the money, partially because people like that throw me off my game.

I need to clarify my earlier post on here after looking at it:

I love limit stud and omaha tournies - I only hate limit heads up matches

Yeah it's pretty annoying when people do that, but you just have to adjust your game to it I guess. It can be profitable at times actually. But I often find that those people are usually the luckiest and win a lot of pots before busting out.

I've seen a lot of that. I think there's both good and bad things about limit holdem. One thing is it's way easier to go chasing a card. It won't cost as much, especially in the beginning...but then again, it's hard to push out card chasers if you've got a pair or something. I also find that people who say they are trying to leave do become lucky..and some of them really aren't trying to leave. (If they get lucky adn get a lot of chips, they start playing again).

I only play limit ring games, It would drive me nuts to play a limit tourney. Although I have accidentally signed up for some and just go with the flow. I actually think it takes more brain power to play a limit tourney than a no limit tourney...I'm lazy..lol

i too love limit ring games. but at lower limits every once in a while u get some jackass who raises preflop every hand. i hate that more than anything. i usually either sit out or just leave the table when i get those fools next to me. there r too many variables in limit to throw that kinda play in.

i have to admit i've occasionally signed up not realizing it was limit, hate playing limit. always seems like every stays in chasing because they have no fear of losing all their chips .. but when i do sign up i try to play it .. if i get too aggravated i just post and fold and let them have the chips.

You should actually really try to learn the game. It will teach your how to play without the ability to just bet people off of pots. I had to learn limit. When I started playing Limit was really the only game spread other then 7 stud. Like I said, your missing out on good opportunities to improve your game, and it will help you to think about the game in different ways.
