Basically from what ive read/past experience the best way to be successful in limit hold em is to be as patient as possible, i heard that playing 2 or 3 hands an hour is what a player should do, but i find that impossible for poker players these days, but i would say keeping a firm limit on the amount of hands you play in the early blinds when there are many people left will only turn out successful for you

I think that players should be patient in every limit, not just fixed limit, but patient maybe the most important in fixed limit. In tournament (especially in freerolls and low buy-in tours) it is a good stategy to play with premium hands pre-flop until the first brake, because there is a lot of "all-in-player". In ring game it is very-very important to wait if you want to be successfull. If U cannot be patient, play more tables or in short-handed games. But this is my opinion, not a way to success.

LOL patience is my middle name! I play all hold em games with patience, but it is true...in limit poker you really need patience and self control. About the only online site I play ring games at is Poker4ever and if you play your hands following that rule you can make your bankroll bigger.

You'll get in a lot of trouble playing Face card/rag in limit. Wait for a playable hand. Patience is a key component to success in poker, and I agree it can be more so in limit.
