The check raise is to win the pot then and there, if he flat calls, at least you know he is either holding or has a high club and hoping for a 4th. If the check raise doesnt work, Im putting on the breaks. Im figuring him for either an ace or middle pair with the flush draw.
I wouldnt really want to be too aggressive with that hand. One attempt should be enough.
You put in the initial preflop raise so it is conceivable that he flat calls you with Ace rag.
Its a sticky hand. I wouldnt keep raising him because it tends to be, call, call, reraise, then you are stuck
