Default QQ when an ace flops

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q, Q.
3 folds, MP2 calls, 4 folds, Hero raises, MP2 calls.

Flop: (5.40 SB) 7, 5, A
Hero bets, MP2 calls.

Turn: (3.70 BB) 5
Hero ??

Do you bet out again here? Do you check fold? I hate these flops!

I'll check, then raise his raise, if that doest work im hoping for the queen on the river or folding.

Im not raising off the bat because if he calls me I still dont know where I am. If another club lands, so be it.

I really want away from that hand but I will show strength and see how he reacts.

He might be sitting with the K clubs so he has a cushion, K-5 and he is laughing at you.

So I'll stick for a free card or a check raise to try to win, then escape either way.

P.S. im not big on limit poker so I could be well off with this but thats the way I would approach it

The problem with check raising the turn is that if he just calls me, then how do I play the river? Do I check-call? If I bet into it and get raised its costing me quite a lot to see the show down. That does not make your answer wrong, I just don't know if I like to pay that much on a hand that is likely behind.

The check raise is to win the pot then and there, if he flat calls, at least you know he is either holding or has a high club and hoping for a 4th. If the check raise doesnt work, Im putting on the breaks. Im figuring him for either an ace or middle pair with the flush draw.

I wouldnt really want to be too aggressive with that hand. One attempt should be enough.

You put in the initial preflop raise so it is conceivable that he flat calls you with Ace rag.

Its a sticky hand. I wouldnt keep raising him because it tends to be, call, call, reraise, then you are stuck
