Default River laydown?

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with

UTG calls, 1 fold, MP1 calls, Hero raises, CO calls, 3 folds, UTG calls, MP1 calls.

Flop: (9.50 SB) (4 players)
UTG checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets, CO calls, UTG calls, MP1 folds.

Turn: (6.25 BB) (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, CO folds, UTG calls.

River: (8.25 BB) (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, UTG raises,

OK, OK, I should have check-called, but I didn't...

Always call this river, or is this one of the few that can be laid down?

I think it could be laid down.....at the very least, UTG has KT or the flush. Why would they all of a sudden raise on the 5? I'd bet the farm that they don't have 79 or 47 for the straight.

Going out on a limb here, but AKd?

Don't think he would have AKd since he just called UTG and then called the raise.

Definitively check-call on the river, but after the bet and the raise.. I'd lay it down.. I can't imagine him bluffing (especially after you bet out) with this kind of board so he has to have at least top pair beat.
I *guess* if he was a bad player he could have KQ.

What was the result?

villain had

I think he misplayed this, and should have check-raised the flop. I still win some sklansky dollars.
