Default Steps Preflop to Winning Big Pots

1. Don't play weak off suit hands out of position.

2. Call small raises preflop in position with small and medium suited connectors.

3.Always fastplay big hands against weak players 100% of the time.

Default Re: Steps Preflop to Winning Big Pots

This post slipped by my radar. Thank you Pokergirl40.

All good points to go by while playing Holdem, or nearly any poker game for that matter.

I've found it better to fold my small non-connecting cards, unless the blinds are small or I'm in it with a blind.

On number two there, being in position would most likely be sitting before the dealer button, on it, or being the big blind contributor.
I agree and do this a lot myself with small suited connectors, and if nothing comes up for me on the flop and there a big raise coming at me, I will fold.

I try to fastplay my big hands, by raising the pot before, during, and after the flop. 75% of the time most of the players will fold, if not, all.
Big hands like AA, KK, AK, and sometimes QQ. I've even been lucky by holding on to JJ with a pre-flop raise, and get trips on the flop.
