Post Bugsy's Club shuts down

I guess this has been a long time coming....it's near impossible for the small poker rooms to stay in business anymore..

Fortunately, players that have any money in Bugsy's Club will be able to transfer their balance over to pokerstars...

Yea, I heard about this. I must had an account over there at one time. I don't think it was ever more than like 2500 playing there.

Looks like if things do change in the US for online poker - Poker Stars will be way ahead of the game!

I usually play at Bugsy's every weekend, and have noticed a decline in players. Lately it's been pretty steady on weekends with around 1,300 to 1,600 players.

It's good to hear that Poker Stars is taking Bugsy's players, since it is one of my favorite places to play and the largest online poker site.

Even in off-peak hours they seem to have over 50,000 or so players at Poker Stars. I've seen that number at over 200,000 a couple times as I was passing through to see what was up. Come to think of it, that may have been around the time the WSOP was taking place.

So, it looks like Poker Stars will be my weekend retreat from now on.
