Re: How many hands to know your a winning player?
I really don't think it's how many hands you play to know if you're a winning player, but how many chips you have left over after you quit the game that counts.
I consider myself a relatively good poker player, but I have my bad days too, so we can't really go by how many hands (I wouldn't think).
I remember several years ago where I played online poker for at least 5 hours a day for a week straight...
And I was getting better at winning hands and started making it to the money tables and winning a couple of those.
As for live poker play; it seemed I was good right off the bat and continued that way until I made a couple knowledgeable mistakes.
Like over-betting on hands I knew I couldn't cover and calling all-ins because I had a winning streak (then lost everything).
In playing poker, you have to remember to stop your betting after a winning streak, because when you do it will save your chip stack and leave you at the money seats in the end.
How many hands of poker to know your a winner or good player? However many it takes you to understand the game; basically, to know when to hold them and know when to fold them (just like the song).
