WSOP Circuit Events - December

It's that time again, for the WSOP circuit to come to Atlantic City. There are 14 events lined up, with one being for the Ladies on Saturday, December 13th. The main event starts at noon on Sunday, December 14th, and lasts for 3 days.

I've already made my hotel reservation at Harrah's for the 9th, and will be playing in event #5 which is a $300+40 buy-in NLHE tournament. This will be my first 'major' live tournament, so it should be a blast!

Let me know if/when you can make it! I'll be leaving here about 4 in the morning to beat traffic and be there in plenty of time to (hopefully) check into my room and register for the tournament...hopefully I'll get to extend my stay, because that means I cashed in that tournament so I can play one or two more.

I'm going to stay away from Blackjack on this trip..

You better stay away from blackjack...

Play it cool and smart. Read a few poker books for a refresher and remember what the announcer for the WPT tv shows says, "Don't go all-in pre-flop with a Q in your hand".

Even an AQ can be beat with a AK or AA.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it....Christmas spending took its toll... Going to try and make the one in March at Caesars AC.

That's one of my new year's resolutions, as a matter of fact. I'm wanting to put back a minimum of $400/mo strictly for offline tournaments. I want to have money for both the circuit event in March as well as at least one $1500 buy-in event at the WSOP '09 in Vegas.

I just made my room reservation at Caesars...amazingly enough, I was able to get March 4th and 5th comped.

I'll be playing in Events #1 & #3...$300+40

*edit* I was able to squeeze another comped night out of them, so I'll be arriving a day early on the 3rd and playing the side games...

Looks like I need to break out those casino cards and see if I can work some magic too.

I will for sure be there one of those days though!
